As a first time home buyer, finding the right realtor was essential. Mary stepped in and with her 30 years of industry experience guided me through the process, reassured me and answered all of my questions throughout the journey. It was a seamless experience! I’ve both bought and sold with Mary and she was incredibly knowledgeable in both transactions. When buying my condo she talked me out of offering too much and worked with the seller so that I didn’t overpay. I sold a few years later after moving out of state and she handled the entire transaction flawlessly. …Last spring I became a really finicky buyer hunting for my forever home - and Mary was my realtor. She knows the city by Zip Codes as well as neighborhoods and various landmarks. So we looked up and down the Lakefront, in and out of Lincoln Square, places north and far from the Lake.

Summer was over, I still was homeless and just a bit wiser after making a misguided offer. Mary has tech techniques that aided the search but even with daily doses of Homesnap and realtor-dot-com I still had no condo in my future. She was very matter of fact, not gaggy-cheerful, as she repeated our mantra: “it’s there, we just have to find it.”

Long story short, IT was there, had been sitting by the Lake since February.

Mary’s team got me set up with lender for financial pre-approval, a marvelous father-son inspection duo, and we were set to close before Halloween. Three days before the date mortgage lender called to say the deal was off because Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac did not like what they saw as a legal liability.

Mary and team involved seller’s realtor who discovered FHA would bless the deal if we jumped through a few more hoops and I agreed to pay a few more fees. We did, I did, they did and we finally closed after Thanksgiving. So Christmas in my new home was doubly blessed, thanks to Mary Nack, her team of lender, inspectors and attorney. They are a very professional team and work so well together.

Mary Nack devoted an entire year to helping us find the perfect new condo and then sell our former condo. She was well-prepared concerning the market in our chosen neighborhood and took care to research comparable properties to help us know appropriate prices for both purchase and sale. She has deep expertise on the issues related to buying and selling real estate. After a few visits to condos for sale, she had a clear insight into what we were looking for and connected us to relevant properties. Mary was always cheerful and willing to take us to a showing on short notice. Overall, we fully trusted her advice about many matters related to buying and selling.
